Job Title: Clinical Dietitian – per diem
Location: Reno, Nevada
Job Description: The per diem Registered Dietitian performs clinical nutritional assessment, follow-up and reassessment to provide for the nutritional needs of infants, children, adolescents, adults and/or geriatric patients at Renown Regional Medical Center. There is daily interaction with physicians and other health professionals to discuss patient needs, clarify orders, recommend care, and work as part of an interdisciplinary team. The ability to write a therapeutic diet, substitute menu requests, and individualize diet instructions are essential skills. Organization and time management are needed to respond to the heavy volume of requests for consults and assessments. The clinical dietitian needs to understand the basics of enteral and parenteral nutrition. Past experience in acute care clinical dietetics is desirable.

Job Title: Part-time Registered Dietitian for LTAC at Horizon Specialty Hospital, 640 Desert Lane, LV, NV, 89106
Job Description: The RD will perform nutrition assessments on patients with a variety of high-risk conditions, including but not limited to, gastrostomy feedings, TPN, pressure ulcers, varying states of malnutrition, etc. Hours worked will depend on census, but is generally between 20-30 hours per week
Job Requirements: We prefer an RD who is current with the CDR and who is able to exercise critical thinking in developing appropriate careplans. Weekly interdisciplinary team meeting attendance is required. Clinical experience a must.

Job Title: Clinical Registered Dietitian (Per-Diem)
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Job Description: In an acute rehabilitation hospital setting:
Plans and delivers nutritional care to patients according to the physicians’ diagnoses. Performs as a member of the multidisciplinary care team. Screens newly admitted patients to identify those at nutritional risk. Works in collaboration with Chef on dietary needs of patients. Has the responsibility of daily management of the food and dietitian service, implementing training programs for dietary staff, and assuring that established policies and procedures are maintained that address , safety practices for food handling, emergency food supply, orientation, work assignments, supervision of work and personnel performance, purchasing of foods and supplies, and retention of essential records. Exercises independent judgment under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Job Title: Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Outreach Coordinator North and South
Location: Seeking two candidates one for Las Vegas and one for Carson City
Job Description: Under general direction, incumbents will assist in the development, implementation and direction the SNAP Outreach (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) plan for Nevada. Submission of annual federal and state reports, provide fiscal and program oversight to agencies / partners, solicit proposals for SNAP Outreach with local / state and non-profit agencies that receive federal funding. Serve as the state liaison with FNS (USDA Food and Nutrition Services). Responsible for quality control reviews. Identify potential partners and serve as a community representative of SNAP Outreach. Provide on-site technical assistance and reviews; facilitate and coordinate information with the public, educators and local partners.
Requirements and Additional Info: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study pertinent to the program assignment and one year of professional experience providing assistance programs services to clients or program compliance and evaluation which required the application of regulations, laws, policies and procedures in making determinations

Job Description: Under general direction, incumbent will assist in the development, implementation and direction the SNAP-Ed (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education) plan for Nevada. Submission of annual federal and state reports, provide fiscal and program oversight to agencies / partners, solicit proposals for SNAP-Ed with local / state and non-profit agencies that receive federal funding. Serve as the state liaison with FNS (USDA Food and Nutrition Services). Responsible for quality assurance; Identification, assessment and dissemination nutrition education resources to nutrition educators; serve as a community representative of SNAP-Ed; Provide on-site technical assistance and conduct reviews; facilitate and coordinate information with the public, educators and local partners.
Requirements and Additional Info: Registered dietitian and hold a mater’s degree in nutrition or other related fields. Previous experience in implementation and evaluation of community based nutrition education programs required; knowledge of basic research designs and statistics; budgetary/accounting experience and knowledge of the SNAP program is required.
